Acceptable Use Policy

Plain English Summary

This policy explains what you can and cannot do with your TinyFirm subscription. The short version: use it for your own projects, don’t share it or resell it, don’t use it to build something that competes with TinyFirm, and don’t do anything illegal with it. If you violate these rules, we’ll warn you first (except for serious violations like redistribution, where we may act immediately).

Effective Date: May 15, 2026

1. Purpose

1.1. This Acceptable Use Policy governs how Customers may use TinyFirm’s Service. It supplements the Terms of Service and the Purchasing Agreement.

1.2. Violation constitutes a material breach and may result in immediate termination.

2. Permitted Uses

2.1. Customers MAY:

  • Use the TinyFirm system for their own software development projects
  • Modify System Files for their own internal use
  • Create unlimited workspaces for their own projects
  • Use AI-generated outputs in any way (Customer owns outputs)
  • Reference TinyFirm publicly (e.g., “Built with TinyFirm”)
  • Provide feedback, feature requests, and bug reports

3. Prohibited Uses

3.1. Redistribution and Sharing

  • Share the System Repository URL or access credentials
  • Copy, email, upload, or distribute System Files to any third party
  • Post System Files to public repositories, forums, or file-sharing services
  • Allow unauthorized individuals to access workspaces containing System Files
  • Create “team access” by sharing a single subscription

Unauthorized redistribution of System Files constitutes copyright infringement under federal law (17 USC 501) in addition to a material breach of this policy and the Terms of Service. TinyFirm reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including statutory damages and attorney’s fees.

3.2. Commercial Exploitation

  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute TinyFirm or System Files
  • Offer a substantially similar service using TinyFirm’s System Files
  • Use TinyFirm for third-party “AI team setup” services without a separate license
  • White-label the system for resale

3.3. Harmful or Illegal Use

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Develop harmful software (malware, fraud tools, unauthorized surveillance)
  • Infringe third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt unauthorized access to TinyFirm infrastructure or other customer repositories

3.4. System Integrity

  • Circumvent access controls
  • Use automated tools to scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the repository
  • Interfere with other customers’ access

4. Enforcement

4.1. Standard Violations (Sections 3.3-3.4): Written warning, then 7-day suspension, then termination.

4.2. Serious Violations (Sections 3.1-3.2): Immediate enforcement action including termination without prior warning. Legal remedies reserved.

4.3. Reporting: Report violations to contact@tinyfirm.dev.

5. Modifications

5.1. TinyFirm may update this AUP with 30 days’ notice.
